An Important Announcement to all Members of Celbridge District Credit Union Ltd

The Nominations Committee of Celbridge District Credit Union Ltd wish to inform all members that, in accordance with legislation, any member seeking nomination for election to the Board of Directors or Board Oversight Committee of Celbridge District Credit Union Ltd, must now be proposed through the Nominations Committee. Accordingly, nominations from the floor at the Annual General meeting are no longer permitted.

Nominations are now subject to appraisal with reference to the Fitness and Probity Standards stipulated by the Central Bank, and Section 56B(6) of the Credit Union Act 1997 (as amended). This requires that nominations be forwarded to the Nominations Committee in sufficient time to allow the committee to conduct due diligence and ensure compliance with all Fitness and Probity Standards.

Any member, who wishes to be nominated for election to the Board of Directors or Board Oversight Committee at the forthcoming Annual General Meeting, should contact the Credit Union to request a Fitness and Probity Form. Completed forms must be submitted to the Chairman of the Nominations Committee of Celbridge District Credit Union Ltd by the close of business on Friday 10th November 2017. Any submissions received after the closing date and time cannot be considered.
